The Austin Air HealthmatePLUS Jr. A250 has a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) filter that removes pollens and molds while the granular carbon and zeolite filter impregnated with potassium iodide does a super job of removing formaldehyde and chemicals. This filter is effective for allergies, asthma, odors, gases and chemicals; and chemical sensitivity to formaldehyde. Designed to provide coverage for areas of up to 700 sq. ft.
The HealthmatePLUS filter removes 99.97% of particulates as small as .3 microns and 95% of particulates as small as .1 micron, while eliminating over 3000 toxic gasses and odors.
